Are U Being Too Picky??

Lori Gottlieb, author of Mr. Good Enough, says there's a big difference between making smart compromises and settling. Here are five basic things she taught Mix 103.7 listeners to overlook on your way to love ...
1. His height. Don't pass on an amazing man who meets more important criteria just because you might have to wear flats on occasion..
2. His online dating profile -- Don't get uber-specific with your search filters -- you'll eliminate too many people you have real things in common with! Choose real deal-breakers only (like does he want kids, not what color his eyes are.)
3. His occupation -- Yes, business execs can be sexy and charming -- but aren't necessarily the best partners! What about that cute elementary school teacher? Sure his salary might not be six figures, but you already know he's good with kids.
4. His age -- It might be prudent to avoid the very young and the very old, but if you're not having any luck with guys exactly your age, it's time to broaden the age group. Seriously, you aren't getting any younger either -- do you want to be with someone without a wrinkle, or someone who'll still find you attractive in 10 years?
5. How he compares to "my type" -- Ever have your opinion of someone change as you get to know them? Exactly. Just because he's "not your type" right of the bat doesn't mean you should discount him entirely. Does he make you laugh? Is he kind? Get rid of deal-breakers that don't help you find a quality partner.
